PR: Boo! YTV has Ghostly Favourites this Halloween

(October 6, 2008 – Toronto, Canada) This Halloween, YTV is giving viewers a trick-or-treat bagful of reasons to tune in each and every day, with non-stop programming including special movies, themed episodes and classics – great shows to make viewers go boo! Highlights include: Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride and classic Halloween specials such as It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and Garfield’s Halloween Adventure.

The Flying Dutchman takes up residence at SpongeBob’s house where he proceeds to scare, startle and surprise SpongeBob around the clock. Eventually all the spooky shenanigans grow old and SpongeBob is no longer afraid. This creates a panic for the old ghost who now fears that he has lost his scary touch, so SpongeBob decides to help the Flying Dutchman learn to scare again. This special SpongeBob episode airs Wednesday, October 22 at 4 p.m in The Zone hosted by Carlos and Joyce. Other times include: Sunday, October 26 at 10 a.m. and Thursday, October 30 at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday, October 23 – PRANK PATROL: GHOST HUNTERS
In their customized SpyVan, host Andy and his two prank-loving Ninja sidekicks hit the road in this Halloween-themed episode of Prank Patrol. Looking to scare the socks off her pal Erin, Andy helps prankster Mariah creates a haunted theatre to watch a spooky ghost tale. Friday, October 24 – iCARLY: iSCREAM ON HALLOWEEN
Carly, Sam and Freddie shoot a special Halloween webcast from an apartment rumoured to be haunted. When strange things begin to happen, the friends start to believe that the rumours may be true! Meanwhile, after forgetting the Halloween candy for his trick-or-treaters, Spencer hands out random items to avoid payback from an angry mob of children. This Halloween episode of iCarly airs in Big Fun Fridays on Friday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. (r) Wednesday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m.

Ever the handyman, Tim builds the ultimate haunted house the Catacomb of Terror in his basement while his son Brad deals with the scariest development of all – a Raggedy Andy Halloween costume! Home Improvement: Haunting of the Taylor House airs Monday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Sir Duke of Jib and Jabbery must combat the evil Count Jessula, who is determined to turn the entire household into vampires. Jibber Jabber: Night of the Vampires airs Tuesday, October 28 at 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday, October 29 – EDGAR & ELLEN: TRICK OR TWINS
The twins are up to some Halloween mischief! While Ellen is preparing for a Halloween party, Edgar is in his lab working on an experimental growth serum. Edgar & Ellen: Trick or Twins airs Saturday, October 25 at 11:30 a.m. (r) Wednesday, October 29 at 3 p.m. (r) Friday, October 31 at 7 a.m. and 12 p.m.

In this 1966 trick-or-treating TV classic, the perpetually lonely Charlie Brown is thrilled he has been invited to a costume party. Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) finds the love of his life, Debbie (Joan Cusack) – the Addams’ new babysitter hired to care for baby Pubert. Unfortunately for Fester, Debbie is only interested two things: his money and making his death look like an accident. Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley catch on to Debbie’s devious plan, but are sent away to summer camp before they can warn the family. Can they make it back before it’s too late? YTV families can learn Addams Family Values on Friday, October 31 at 7 p.m.
