BURBANK, CA, January 22, 2007 . . . Cincinnati Bengals quarterback great Carson Palmer makes his acting debut on Disney’s animated series “The Replacements,” SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Palmer guest stars as himself in the episode when Todd (voiced by Nancy Cartwright) and his best friend Jacobo (voiced by Candi Milo) argue over who gets possession over the football that Palmer throws for his record-breaking touchdown.

“I thoroughly enjoyed working with Disney on ‘The Replacements.’ It was a great experience and I am pleased to play a part in teaching kids the importance of sharing,” said Palmer, the 2002 Heisman Trophy winner and #1 overall draft pick in 2003 from the University of Southern California (USC).

Among kids 6-11, “The Replacements” ranked as the top animated program both on Disney Channel (5.3/1,043,000) and all basic cable and broadcast series. “The Replacements” revolves around orphaned siblings Riley and Todd who come across a comic book ad that promises a new set of parents for $1.98 directly from the Fleemco Company in Canton, Ohio. Their quirky new family consists of a British international spy mom named Agent K, a renowned stuntman daredevil dad named Dick Daring, and C.A.R.T.E.R., a cynical talking spy car and Agent K’s former partner. Riley and Todd soon realize that they can replace any adult in their life simply by making a call to Conrad Fleem, owner of the Fleemco Company. The situations Riley and Todd get into always result in funny unforeseen consequences and lessons to be learned.

A production of Walt Disney Television Animation, “The Replacements” features a talented voice cast including Nancy Cartwright (“The Simpsons”) as Todd; Grey Delisle (“The Fairly Odd Parents”) as Riley; Kath Soucie (“Pooh’s Heffalump Movie”) as Agent K; Daran Norris (“Veronica Mars”) as Dick Daring; David McCallum (“N.C.I.S.”) as CAR; Lauren Tom (“King of the Hill”) as Tasumi; and Jeff Bennett (“Lilo & Stitch: The Series”) as Shelton.

“The Replacements” was created by renowned children’s author and illustrator Dan Santat (“The Guild of Geniuses”) and is executive-produced by Jack Thomas (“The Fairly OddParents”) and directed by Heather Martinez (“SpongeBob SquarePants”).

Disney Channel is a 24-hour general entertainment television network designed for kids and families and is currently available in over 89 million U.S. homes via basic cable.
