Combining elements of classic westerns and space operas with plausible science and logic, Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers pushed the boundaries of children’s television programming. Unique for its thought-provoking storylines and vast universe of well-developed characters, the visionary series featured a plot premise that was inspired by Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven. Created by Robert Mandell, the show first aired in September 1986 as a series of sixty-five half-hour cartoons, running five days a week. Storyboarded, voiced and produced in the United States, Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers was animated oversees by the famed Japanese anime house Tokyo Movie Shinsha and showcased the extraordinary vocal talents of Jerry Orbach (Law & Order, Beauty and the Beast), Corinne Orr (Speed Racer), Laura Dean (Chicago, Fame) and Earl Hammond (Thundercats, The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus).

Featuring over 11 hours of action-packed adventure, ADVENTURES OF THE GALAXY RANGERS – THE COLLECTION: VOLUME 1 is presented in customized, die-cut packaging that reveals a gold foil printed Galaxy Rangers badge.
