Carnegie Mellon University will be awarding its first Randy Pausch prize to Dr. Ed Catmull, president of Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Animation Studios. The prize is named for the late Prof. Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon who passed away from pancreatic cancer in July, and is intended to honor entertainment industry experts “who embody his interdisciplinary spirit.”
