Pixar Announces More Details on Film Slate for 2014 and Beyond

At this year’s CinemaCon, Pixar Animation Studios released a few more details about the next films from the studio slated for release starting in 2014. The Good Dinosaur will received a release date of May 30, 2014; the movie will be directed by Bob Peterson, co-directed by Peter Sohn, and produced by John Walker. The plot synopsis asks, “What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?”

Pixar’s next film will be Pete Docter’s “Untitled Pixar Movie that Takes You Inside the Mind” (co-directed by Ronnie del Carmen and produced by Jonas Rivera), which received a release date of June 19, 2015. Finally, a new movie about the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) was announced, with Lee Unkrich named as director and Darla K. Anderson as producer. No release date was announced for the new project.
