"Pet Alien" Lands on Cartoon Network on January 23
Cartoon Network will premiere Pet Alien, a new CGI comedy about aliens experiencing life on Earth, on Sunday, January 23, at 10:00am (ET/PT), the network said today.
The series, which is based on a property created by Jeff Muncy of John Doze Studios, features Tommy, a video-game playing, taffy-eating 12-year-old, who gets help with his life from four aliens living in his lighthouse hideaway. The January schedule for the series:
* Sunday, January 23: “I was a Teenage Bearded Boy” To make Tommy more cool at school, the aliens give him a green beard. “Escape from Detention X” Fearing that Tommy’s after-school detention is too harsh, the aliens hatch a plan to break him out of his “educational prison.”
* Sunday, January 30: “The Amazing Atomic Tommy” The aliens think that Tommy has super-powers and are determined to prove it by putting him in rather precarious situations. “The Crater of Doom” It’s school picture day and Tommy has a big pimple on his forehead. The aliens try to help but make it much, much worse.
Pet Alien is produced by Mike Young Productions, Antefilm/TF1, Crest, and Telegael and is distributed by Taffy Entertainment. Cartoon Network has acquired 26 episodes of the series.
The series will also premiere on Cartoon Network Europe in the first quarter in 2005 and on other international Cartoon Network channels throughout the year.
