Peanuts Voice Actors Speak Out

by on July 2, 2014

Thanks to the lengthy efforts of author and animation archeologist Marc Tyler Nobleman, the voice actors who gave life to the array of characters from Charles Schulz’s iconic “Peanuts” comic strip when they came to the television screen in various specials, talked about their experiences voicing their characters. Nobleman painstakingly tracked down many of the voice actors – who were all children at the time of their gigs – though with some notable exceptions.

Christopher Shea [original voice of Linus] passed away four years ago, Jim Ahrens [Marcie] declined to participate, and Peter Robbins [original voice of Charlie Brown] had some, ahem, legal problems last year when he was sentenced for stalking.
