Mr. Peabody & Sherman, the latest animated feature film from DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc, opened in second place at the box office in its premiere weekend, with an estimated $32.5 million in ticket sales. In comparison, DreamWorks’ last two March releases (2010’s How to Train Your Dragon and 2013’s The Croods) both cleared $40 million in their opening weekends, although Mr. Peabody & Sherman‘s 3-day take is still better than the 5-day sales for 2013’s Turbo (which only just cleared $31 million in its first five days of release) and is close to the $32.34 million 5-day take of 2012’s Rise of the Guardians.
