In its second week of release, DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc’s Mr. Peabody and Sherman beat out both last week’s box office champ 300: Rise of an Empire and newcomer Need for Speed, raking in $21.8 million in ticket sales vs. 300: Rise of an Empire‘s $19.2 million and Need for Speed‘s $17.84 million (all numbers estimated as of press time). Mr. Peabody and Sherman‘s take represents a 32% drop from its release weekend.
