PBS Member Stations May Air Controversial "Postcards from Buster" Episode
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that some PBS member stations may air a controversial episode of Postcards from Buster, where the rabbit title character visits a lesbian couple in Vermont (free registration required).
Meanwhile, the Boston Globe is reporting that WGBH, the Boston PBS affiliate which produces the show, has pushed the episode back to March 23 from its original February 2 airdate in order to give other PBS stations a chance to review the episode first. The article also states that WNET, the New York PBS station, plans to air the episode as well.
All parties are stating that recent comments by Education Secretary Margaret Spellings are not affecting their decisions whether or not to air the episode.
