NY Times on Blue Sky Studios vs. the Big Boys

The New York Times has taken a look at Blue Sky Studios, the CGI production house owned by 20th Century Fox that currently is the only consistent competition for the likes of Pixar and DreamWorks Animation Studios (free registration required). The article examines the studio’s history from its first commercials for Ducolax to its quirky short films like “Bunny” and “Joe’s Apartment” and the “talking fish” episode of The Sopranos, all the way to its smash hit Ice Age franchise, it’s less-successful Robots feature film, and the upcoming film Rio.
