Nina Paley Seeks Funds to Get "Sita Sings the Blues" to Berlin

by on January 17, 2008

Independent animator Nina Paley has posted a public plea for donations to fund a 35mm print of her film Sita Sings the Blues for screening at the 58th Annual Berlin International Film Festival in February. A master print will cost $30,000, with additional costs for surround sound, and Paley has stated that she still needs to raise $20,000 as of January 12. All contributors will get their name in the credits, with donors of more than $1,000 getting a credit of their choosing in the film. Donations may be made via Fractured Atlas, and details about the movie can be found at the movie web site.
