C21Media is reporting that Nickelodeon is developing two original Japanese cartoon series. The first is Domo-Kun, named for Japanese broadcaster NHK’s mascot, which will be a co-production between Nickelodeon and NHK affiliate Domo Production Company. The second is Akihabara@Deep, based on the graphic novel series, which is being developed with 3D animation house Polygon Pictures.
