FUNimation Launching Mobile App for Anime Series

FUNimation will release a mobile app for both Android and iPhone allowing users to watch anime series and movies on the devices, the company announced on Saturday.

The apps will come in two price-plan flavors: a free version that will carry promo episodes, clips and trailers, with commercials and banner ads. A pay version will carry complete series and utilize only commercials.

Pricing for the pay version has not been determined yet, but Elite Video Subscribers will have access to both without commercials on either app.

The apps will launch in late March.
