Ian Abercrombie, Actor, 1934 - 2012

Actor Ian Abercrombie has passed away at age 77. He had suffered from kidney failure and had been diagnosed recently with lymphoma. Abercrombie's best known role was as the eccentrically demanding Justin Pitt in Seinfeld, who was Elaine Benes' boss for seven episodes. Abercrombie also had several prominent voice-acting roles in his career, most prominently as Chancellor Palpatine in the recent CGI Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series and as Ganthet of the Guardians in Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Other animated roles included parts in the feature film Rango and the TV series The Batman.
