William Shatner Aiming "Zeonoids" to Launch as Internet Animated Series

The Hollywood Reporter details actor William Shatner's plans to launch The Zeonoids as a collaboratively produced animated series on his online social website myouterspace.com, with an eye towards getting the property onto TV or movie screens. Shatner has enlisted talent including composer Michael Giacchino (Up) to judge music submitted by myouterspace.com members and to score the online series; writer Alan Dean Foster to write the feature script; and Amanda Tapping who will executive produce and co-star in the webseries. Tapping's series Sanctuary (co-created with Damien Kindler and Martin Wood) followed a similar path from the web to TV.
