NBC Orders "Shrek" and "Kung Fu Panda" Specials

The Hollywood Reporter reports that NBC has ordered two new holiday specials based on the hit Dreamworks films Shrek and Kung Fu Panda.

NBC will air the Halloween special Scared Shrekless on October 28th. In the special, our favorite green ogre dares Donkey, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots, and other fairy tale characters to spend the night at Lord Farquaad's castle telling scary stories.

The network will also air The Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special in which Po has to choose between family obligations and his duty as Dragon Warrior when he is ordered to host a formal winter feast at the Jade Palace. The special will air on November 24th.
