RIP Robert Schimmel (1950-2010)

Robert Schimmel, a stand-up comedian known for his frequent appearances on The Howard Stern Show, passed away on 9/3/10 from injuries he received in a car accident. He was 60 years old. His 19-year old daughter was driving at the time; she lost control of the car when avoiding another accident on a Phoenix freeway. She is expected to recover, and Schimmel's 11 year old son, also a passenger, was uninjured.

While mostly known for his live action work, he also guest starred on Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist (where he played himself) and The Simpsons (where he played a prisoner).
