"Robot Chicken," "Prep & Landing" Split Emmys

The Simpsons, Robot Chicken, and Disney Prep & Landing shared animation honors at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night.

Disney Prep & Landing beat out stalwarts The Simpsons and South Park along with Alien Earths and The Rickky Gervais Show to take the Best Animated Program Trophy, and Robot Chicken took the Best Short-Form Animated Program prize, beating out fellow Cartoon Network series Adventure Time, Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Uncle Grandpa. Disney Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil had also been nominated.

Anne Hathaway won Best Voice-Over Performance for her role on The Simpsons.

Animated programs did not score so well outside the animation categories. Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Family had been nominated in musical categories, but lost to 24 and Monk, respectively. The Simpsons: 20th Anniversary Special -- In 3-D! On Ice! lost in the Best NonFiction Special category to Teddy: In His Own Words.
