"Babar" Finds a Home in Germany

German broadcaster KI.KA has picked up rights to the first 26 episodes of Babar and the adventures of Badou, a new CG-animated series that updates the classic Babar stories and adds his eight-year-old grandson and his friends to the cast, Nelvana Enterprises said today.

The series, which will debut on Canada's YTV in November, will debut in Germany in the spring of 2011. Nelvana already has deals in place for Babar with broadcasters in Japan, Australia, France, Scandinavia, and other international territories.
