Nat Gertler on Reprinting Steve Perry's "Salimba"

Comic Book Resources has interviewed About Comics publisher Nat Gerlter about his efforts to reprint Salimba, a "jungle girl" comic book written by the late Steve Perry (Thundercats, Silverhawks) and drawn by Paul Chadwick (Concrete). Among other topics, Gertler discusses how the reprint project began as an effort to assist in Perry's health and financial problems during the last years of his life, how he acquired the reprint rights for the comic and got Perry to finish a prose story for it, and how the reprint will benefit the Hero Initiative, which also provided financial assistance to Perry.

Salimba is available for pre-order now for $9.99, with a scheduled release date in October. The Diamond press order code is AUG10 0727; visit your local comic book shop to place a pre-order.
