NFB Enters Six Films at Hiroshima Festival

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) will be taking six films into competition at the 2010 Hiroshima International Animation Festival, the agency has announced. In addition, the NFB will be showcasing eleven additional films as special presentations.

NFB entrants in the competition include Theodore Ushev's "Lipsett Diaries" and "Drux Flux"; Malcolm Sutherland's "Jeu de forme"; Chris Landreth's "The Spine"; Cordell Barker's "Runaway"; and Georges Schwizgebel's "Retouches." Ushev will be attending Hiroshima in person and blogging.

Other NFB films at the festival include "Neighbours"; "Vive la rose"; "When the Day Breaks"; "Village of Idiots"; "The Big Snit"; and "Ryan."

The festival runs from August 7 through 11.
