Once again, Family Guy and SpongeBob SquarePants were the only two animated shows in the cable top 25 ratings for the week of July 19 – 25. Both only had one spot, with Family Guy coming in at #22 with 3.623 million viewers and SpongeBob at #25 with 3.586 million viewers. (The cable top 25 is ranked based on total viewers age 2+.)

Nickelodeon put a little padding between itself and Disney Channel this week in the total day average views, with Nick averaging 2.381 million and Disney averaging 2.210 million, a difference of 171,000 viewers – compared to last week’s gap of only 35,000. Adult Swim averaged 1.245 million for the week, just ahead of Cartoon Network with 1.208 million. Adult Swim was up slightly week-to-week while Cartoon Network was down some. Nick Jr. averaged 578,000 for the week, down week-to-week, though still impressive for a network that targets kids 2-5 (and these numbers are based on age 2+).

Other animated program ratings for the week include:

  • A new episode of Neighbors from Hell on TBS was up week-to-week in total viewers and adults 18-49, with 1.329 million viewers and a 0.6/2 adults 18-49 rating.
  • Cartoon Network’s Monday comedies were down week-to-week, with Adventure Time scoring 1.841 million viewers, Flapjack at 1.750 million and Total Drama World Tour scoring 1.589 million viewers. While the total viewers number dropped through the night, the kids 2-11 ratings for all three programs was about 2.6/10 for each.
  • Comedy Central’s Futurama was down week-to-week, scoring 1.920 million viewers and a 0.9/3 adults 18-49 rating for a new episode this week.
(All times are Eastern.)
