"Futurama" Sixth Season Gets Debut Date

Futurama's sixth season will make its Comedy Central debut on Thursday, June 24, at 10:00pm, the network says.

The season premiere, "Rebirth," will leave the delivery crew members reduced to skeletons and at the mercy of the Professor's experimental re-birth device. The second episode will find Leela and Zapp Brannigan stranded, alone and naked, on a Garden of Eden-like planet.

Special guest stars during the season will include Chris Elliot, Craig Ferguson, George Takei, Sergio Aragones, Matt Groening, David X. Cohen, Katee Sackhoff and Mark Mothersbaugh.

Comedy Central is hyping the series return on a new website with episode previews, highlights, and mash-up videos, and its Insider Blog is running a Countdown to Futurama feature with sneak previews of stills, storyboards, prop designs, and video teases and more.
