No Returns for "Spectacular Spider-Man" or "Wolverine & the X-Men"

The Marvel Animation Age has posted two updates on older Marvel Animation shows. According to producer Greg Weisman, the announcement of a new Ultimate Spider-Man animated TV series effectively means that The Spectacular Spider-Man will not be renewed for a new season, although Marvel Animation President Eric Rollman stated that the decision to greenlight more Spectacular Spider-Man would be up to Sony Pictures Television.

The report also adds that the second season of Wolverine and the X-Men has been cancelled for undisclosed reasons, despite the announcement last year that Nicktoons had ordered another 26 episodes of the series.
