Cartoon Network has announced that Adventure Time with Finn & Jake will get its premiere on Monday, April 5, 2010, at 8:00 PM (Eastern/Pacific). The show centers on the two unlikely heroes of the title, traveling the mystical land of Ooo lending assistance to an array of bizarre characters. The series was created by Pendleton Ward, and clips and downloads are available at the show's official website www.itsadventuretime.com.

Cartoon Network Premieres Adventure Time with Finn & Jake
New Original Animated Series Debuts on April 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
Cartoon Network’s new original animated series Adventure Time with Finn & Jake premieres Monday, April 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The show introduces viewers to unlikely heroes Finn & Jake, buddies who traverse the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants. The best of friends, our heroes always find themselves in the middle of heart-pounding escapades. Finn, a silly kid with an awesome hat, and Jake, a brassy dog with a big, kind heart, depend on each other through thick and thin.
From the mind of creator Pendleton Ward, Ooo is a land built for adventure. Teeming with imposing mountains, lush green plains, accessible forests, ubiquitous prairies and winding rivers, the cities and towns are filled with bizarre characters in need of unique assistance. Whether it’s saving Princess Bubblegum, defeating zombie candy, mocking the “oxy-moronic” Ice King or rocking out with undead music wiz Marceline the Vampire Queen, with Finn & Jake it’s always Adventure Time.

Fans play both Finn & Jake as they traverse three levels set in different areas of the Land of Ooo. The game features funny powers, enemies, storylines, secret unlockables and multiple paths for extended play.
Each 30-minute episode of the show features two segments, with the premiere debuting “Slumber Party Panic” and “Trouble in Lumpy Space.” In “Slumber Party Panic,” Princess Bubblegum and Finn are doing experiments in a graveyard when they accidentally create candy zombies. Princess Bubblegum and Finn must keep the fragile candy people from discovering that there’s a zombie attack on the horizon. In “Trouble in Lumpy Space,” Jake starts to turn lumpy after being bitten by Lumpy Space Princess. It’s up to Finn to venture to another dimension, Lumpy Space, where he must find a cure that will save his friend.
Adventure Time with Finn & Jake is produced in partnership with Frederator Studios with Fred Seibert serving as an executive producer on the series. The premiere season will feature celebrity voices including Henry Rollins, Mark Hamill, George Takei, Lou Ferrigno and Erik Estrada.
