"Super Friends: Season 1, Volume 1" Coming to DVD

Tvshowsondvd.com reports that Warner is releasing the 1973 version of the Superfriends in Super Friends: Season 1, Volume 1 on DVD January 5, 2010.
The show that started it all brings Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman & Robin, and Aquaman for the first time stopping alien beings, misguided scientists, and any bad guy around, while also helping out their three junior Super Friends Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog.
Super Friends was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, and aired on ABC in 1973. The show features the voices of Danny Dark as Superman/Clark Kent, Sharon Farnon as Wonder Woman, Olan Soule as Batman, Casey Kasem (Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, and host of the long-running radio show American Top 40) as Robin, Norm Alden as Aquaman and Plastic Man, Sheri Alberoni (The Mickey Mouse Club, and Alexandria from Josie & the Pussycats) as Wendy, Frank Welker as Marvin and Wonder Dog, John Stephenson (Mr. Slate from The Flintstones, and Mr. Peevley from Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch) as Colonel Wilcox, and Ted Knight (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Too Close for Comfort, and Aquaman) as the narrator and The Flash.
The two-disc set will contain 8 episodes from the first season, no word yet on bonus features.
