BURBANK, CA (May 24, 2001) - Kids' WB! wrapped up
the 2000-2001 season as the #1 broadcast network among Kids 2-11
(3.0/13), Kids 6-11 (3.6/15), Boys 2-11 (4.0/16) and Boys 6-11 (4.8/20).
For the season, Pokémon: The Johto Journeys, in its 10:00 a.m. ET
time period, dominated as the #1 program among all competition,
including cable, in Boys 2-11 (5.8/21) and Boys 6-11 (7.2/26), and
ranked #1 among the broadcast competition in Kids 2-11 (4.5/16)
and Kids 6-11 (5.6/20).
Kids' WB! finished the highly-competitive May sweeps ratings period
as the #1 network among all Saturday morning competition, including
cable, in Boys 6-11 (4.8/21). The network ranked as the #1 broadcast
network in Kids 2-11 (2.8/13), Kids 6-11 (3.4/16) and Boys 2-11
(3.8/17). Among Kids 2-11, Kids' WB! outperformed Fox Kids (2.4/11),
ABC (1.9/9) and CBS (1.5/7), and took six of the top 10 broadcast
program spots.
For May sweeps, Pokémon: The Johto Journeys, at 10:00 a.m. ET, captured
the #1 overall program spot in Boys 2-11 (4.9/19) and Boys 6-11
(6.1/24). The animé-adventure series also led as the #1 broadcast
program among Kids 2-11 (3.7/15) and Kids 6-11 (4.4/17). In its
9:30 a.m. ET time period, X-Men: Evolution scored top honors as
the #2 program for the May sweeps period in Boys 2-11 (4.7/18),
tying Nickelodeon's "Rugrats" (4.7/19), and Boys 6-11 (5.8/22),
tying with Jackie Chan Adventures (5.8/24). Ranking #2 among the
broadcast competition, the teenage mutant superheroes led in Kids
2-11 (3.4/14) and Kids 6-11 (4.0/17).
Additional Kids' WB! May sweeps highlights include:
-- Jackie Chan Adventures, at 9:00 a.m. ET, rounded-up the May sweeps
by ranking #3 among the broadcast competition in Kids 6-11 (3.9/18),
tying with The Zeta Project, and Boys 2-11 (4.4/19), and finished
fourth among Kids 2-11 (3.1/15).
-- In its 10:30 a.m. ET time period, the new break-out
hit series The Zeta Project beat the broadcast competition to rank
#3 for May sweeps in Kids 2-11 (3.3/14) and Kids 6-11 (3.9/16),
tying with Jackie Chan Adventures. The futuristic series landed
a spot among the top five broadcast programs in Boys 2-11 (4.3/18)
and Boys 6-11 (5.3/22).
-- Static Shock, in its 11:00 a.m. ET time period,
ranked among the top 10 broadcast programs in Kids 2-11 (2.6/12),
Kids 6-11 (3.1/14) and Girls 6-11 (2.2/10), and posted a 3.3/15
in Boys 2-11 and a 4.0/18 in Boys 6-11.
-- Men in Black: The Series, at 11:30 a.m. ET, finished
the May sweeps as oneof the top 10 broadcast programs among Kids
2-11 (2.5/12), Kids 6-11 (3.0/14),Boys 2-11 (3.5/17) and Boys 6-11
(4.1/19).
