Log onto uStream on Wednesday, August 27th at 9:30AM to watch and discuss a series of marathon comic inking with the creator of Fantasia Arks: The Phasmatis Crisis as he recreates the first two chapters of the story tirelessly!

To paraphrase Dave Reynolds, artist of ShadowGirls on the amount of work being done: "I do about 110 full color pages a year, but doing 200 black and white, graytoned in a matter of months...is just borderline "You've looked at Cthulhu."

Keeping Up Appearances (Chuck Jones & Alan Burnett Events)

We apologize that this news comes a bit late, but fortunately, not too late.

If you live in the New York City area (or within a relatively close driving distance), you might be interested know there's retrospective on renowned Warner Bros animator/director Chuck Jones being presented at the Lincoln Center through Thursday, November 15th: "Drawing Power: The Cartoons of Chuck Jones".

Some of Chuck's out of print works are featured at this event, such as "Private Snafu" and "Hellbent for Election", as well as a number of classic WB shorts: "One Froggy Evening", "Duck Dodgers In The 24th Century", "Feed The Kitty", "Fast and Furry-ous" and many others. Attendees will also have the rare opportunity to see a presentation of the MGM Holiday classic "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" projected on the big screen.

Meet Alan Burnett, whose credentials as a writer, story-editor, and producer span two decades, for studios such as Hanna-Barbera, DisneyTV Animation, and Warner Bros. Burnett has written for series as diverse as Super Friends, Smurfs (for which he won a Humanitas Award), Pirates of Dark Water, Duck Tales, Tiny Toon Adventures, Batman: The Animated Series (for which he's won multiple Emmies) andSuperman. He co-created Batman Beyond, for which he's currently co-writing the live-action feature. Join host Bob Miller as Burnett discusses his career and gives tips on being a successful writer.
