Paul Dini Rings Jingle Belles in Gotham
Gookie
Tues., Feb. 6, 2001 8:50

In a previous article here at Toon Zone, we reported that Paul Dini's Jingle Belle website would feature 4 web cartoons over the month of December.

Only 3 web cartoons have premiered on the site to date.

Dini provides an update to explain:

We were going to do a fourth cartoon (a New Year's party actually) but we ran out of time. Next New Years for sure. I'm still hoping to do a few more Jingle cartoons throughout the year (maybe six or seven) with an additional three or four new ones once we hit the holidays. Check back on the site later this month - I should have some news about the newest cartoon - Campbell and I are working on it now. Our sexy new welcome page should be up sometime this week.

Regarding the production on Gotham Girls, the online adventures based on the female characters from "Batman: The Animated Series", Dini says, "Most of the episodes were written by Hilary Bader, though two episodes, 'The Vault' and 'A Little Night Magic' were by me. Looks like we'll be doing ten more. I've already scripted the first one which teams up Catwoman [voiced by Adrienne Barbeau] and Zatanna [voiced by Stacie Randall]."

For details on Dini's other current and upcoming projects, be sure to read Jennifer M. Contino's December interview with Dini at Sequential Tart.
