Set your VCR's for a very special episode of TOONHEADS scheduled
to air on Memorial Day weekend. Cartoon Network presents TOONHEADS:
THE WARTIME CARTOONS, a special one hour presentation compiled by
Jerry Beck and George Klein, celebrating the role of Hollywood animation
during World War Two.
The special contains four complete uncut cartoons - including SCRAP
HAPPY DAFFY, BLITZ WOLF and HERR MEETS HARE, along with excerpts
from dozens of others including WAR DOGS, SCRAP THE JAPS, BUGS BUNNY
NIPS THE NIPS, THE DUCKTATORS, TOKIO JOKIO, YOU'RE A SAP MR. JAP
and many many more.
Wartime references are explained and are put into proper historical
context. Please watch this show - good ratings for these Toonheads
Specials encourage Cartoon Network that there is an audience for
more of these - as well as enthusiasm to see UNCUT cartoons. DON'T
MISS IT, tell your friends!- It airs Sunday May 27th at 10:00pm
- and there is no guarantee it will ever be rerun!
