The following are Overnight Ratings for Sunday, April 8, 2001
A repeat of "The PJ's," which aired at 7:30 p.m., earned
a 2.1/3. That's exactly what the premiere episode of "The Oblongs"
had a week before. "The PJ's" airs against "King
of the Hill," which is on FOX, the former network of "The
PJ's". Despite decent ratings, Warner Bros. Television, the
distributor of the show, had decided a few months ago that "The
PJ's" would not be profitable for them in syndication, so they
decided to stop making more episodes. Unless another studio comes
in and buys the shows, it will not return next season.
The second episode of "The Oblongs," which aired at 8:30
p.m. garnered a 2.7/4, which is up from last week's 2.5/4 for the
second airing of the premiere episode.
