press release, here is some info on the Pokémon
League Episodes:
Can Ash prove he has what it takes to become a Pokémon
Master?… Tune-in for the next seven weeks as Kids’
WB! presents "Pokémon" in a seven episode
story-arc, October 23-November 27. Kids’ WB! will
highlight each Saturday morning with an exciting
league tournament challenge. With his eight qualifying
badges in hand, Ash goes to the "Pokémon League
Competition" and confidently pursues his quest to
become a Pokémon Master. Each week leading up to the
next "Pokémon League" episode, will be
themed with special Pokémon episodes in the afternoon
block (3:30 p.m.). LET THE GAMES BEGIN…
Saturday, October 23 (10:00 a.m. PT/9:00 a.m. ET),
"All Fired Up" begins with the opening
ceremonies as Ash is faced with his first challenge…to
keep Team Rocket from extinguishing the official Pokémon
League torch.
"Badges Week" (November 1-5) – earns Ash a
different badge each day… Saturday, November 6
(10:00 a.m. PT/9:00 a.m. ET), "Fire and Ice"
brings Ash to the second and third rounds, but the
real test proves to be keeping Team Rocket from
stealing Pikachu.
"The Best Evolutions Week" (November 8-12)
-- watch your favorite Pokémon take it to the next
level. On Saturday, November 13 (10:00 a.m. PT/9:00
a.m. ET), "The Fourth Round Rumble" puts Ash
and Bulbasaur against their toughest opposition,
Jeanette Fisher and her powerful Pokémon, Scyther.
"When Pokémon Don’t Obey Week" (November
15-19) puts Pokémon trainers’ skills to the test!
Saturday, November 20 (10:00 a.m. PT/9:00 a.m. ET),
"A Friend in Deed" introduces Richie, a
fellow trainer who also has a Pikachu and quickly
becomes friends with Ash. They join forces to retrieve
their Pokéballs and Pikachus from the unrelenting
Team Rocket.
"The Best of Pokémon Battles Week"
(November 22-26) -- May the best Pokémon win! on
Saturday, November 27, in "Friend and Foe
Alike" (8:30 a.m. PT/7:00 a.m. ET), Ash and
Richie are set to compete against each other but will
Team Rocket interfere? In "Friends To The
End" (10:00 a.m. PT/9:00 a.m. ET), Ash and Richie
march in the closing ceremonies, but which one will be
the true victor?
