Exclusive First Look At The Cover Artlogo

Seattle, WA – SeAnime, a new localization house headed by former
Microsoft employee Susan Modny has not only announced its existence
today, but also their first title, fan favorite Kodomo no Jikan.
Retitled for N. America as Playground Love, the company initially
plans to release it dub-only using the original broadcast master (not
the uncensored Blu-ray version). Dub duties will be handled in Calgary
by Blue Water Studios with script localization handled by Jeff Nimoy.
The MSRP will be $34.99 per 3 episode volume. Modny also noted they were
looking forward to licensing other anime cult classics, though openly
admitted that a lot hinged on this release.

In response to fan questions, Modny noted that usage of the broadcast
version was informed by FUNimation’s recent announcement of their
acquisition of Vampire Bund. “If FUNimation questions the safety of releasing Bund uncut in the current market, we feel it’d be prudent to play it safe with Playground Love.”
