NASCAR Star Jeff Gordon to Appear in New Team Umizoomi Spot

Team Umizoomi takes off on a high-speed racing adventure in the brand-new special, “The Great Shape Race,” premiering Friday, Sept. 28, at 10:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.  In the episode, UmiCar and DumpTruck are in a race to the top of Shape Mountain to see who will win the big prize… a magic Dodecahedron!  Team Umizoomi needs to keep an eye on DumpTruck who will stop at nothing to win. Along the way, the team and the viewers at home will use their mighty math powers including shape recognition and counting.

A new promotional spot for the show featuring NASCAR star Jeff Gordon and Team Umizoomi will premiere during the special.  In the spot, Gordon notices the wheels of his race car are triangles.  It’s Team Umizoomi to the rescue as the three mini math-powered superheroes zoom onto the track in their UmiCar to change the triangle wheels into circles.

At NickJr.com, Nickelodeon’s award-winning website for parents and preschoolers, Team Umizoomi fans can play the new UmiCar Shape Race game, make an UmiCar craft and print the Shape Race maze, Umi Shape Mountain poster, and Umizoomi board game.

About Team Umizoomi
Team Umizoomi features a tiny team of superheroes, Milli, Geo and Bot, who use their mighty math powers to help little kids solve big problems.  The series combines action-adventure missions with an interactive math curriculum designed to help kids develop self-confidence in their math abilities and appreciate the many ways in which math shapes their world.  The Umi Team is not complete without their Umifriend (home viewer), who helps the team along the way while practicing various math skills.  Team Umizoomi is created by Soo Kim, Michael T. Smith and Jennifer Twomey
