"Maskman" Deals Signed in Korea and Taiwan
Korean action adventure series Maskman has been sold to KBS Korea. Meanwhile, Taiwanese distributor Mighty Media has bought broadcast and licensing rights to the property.
Maskman combines 2D and 3D animation to tell the story of super-power fighters. The series won the Korean Culture and Content Agency’s annual Star Project Award in 2002. Since then, production companies Barunson and G&G Entertainment have produced 39 half-hours of the series and have developed an extensive licensing program based on the original brand.
Barunson and G&G plan to expand the property towards Southeast Asia, Europe, and the U.S.
