Marvel’s Avengers returns on Disney XD with 6 shorts premiering June 2 before the season 4 premiere on June 17. Season 4 doubles the Avengers cast with Ant-Man returning to the fold as well as new Avengers from the end of season 3 The Vision, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and, making her debut this season, The Wasp. The press release doesn’t say which version of The Wasp she will be though.
Note though that Adrian Pasdar who has voiced Tony Stark/Iron Man for the past 3 seasons of Marvel’s Avengers will not be reprising his role for season 4 and has been replaced by Mick Wingert. Pasdar, who also stars on-camera as General Glenn Talbot on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., most likely had a scheduling conflict which prevented him from voicing this season.
The full press release is printed below.
EDIT UPDATE JUNE 7, 2017 – Ant-Man’s voice actor has also been recast. Josh Keaton replaces Grant George as Ant-Man’s new voice. No reason has been given for the recast. Also, as seen on the “Ant-Man and Wasp” short, Ant-Man’s helmet has been redesigned to cover his entire face unlike what was seen in previous seasons.
