Marvel Releases News Regarding Movie and Television Schedule

Marvel Studios head David Maisel confirmed details of the upcoming slate of movies from the company. The Incredible Hulk will be filmed in Toronto starting early summer 2007 with a release date of June 13, 2008. Iron Man begins principal photography on March 12, 2007. Both movies will have a budget of between $100 million and $160 million.

There will be a 26-episode Fantastic Four animated series debuting on Cartoon Network in June 2007, in time for the release of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in theaters.

Update: Marvel has signed deals to distribute Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk internationally, Variety reports. Sony Pictures will distribute both films in Japan and Spain; SND/M6 will distribute them in France; Tele Munchen will distribute them in Germany. Paramount will distribute both films in Australia and New Zealand and will handle Iron Man in North America. Universal will distribute The Incredible Hulk in North America. Both films are set for a 2008 release.
