by on March 2, 2005

Marvel Enterprises held a presentation for investors at a Bear Stearns conference this morning. The Marvel Gateway website reports that Marvel and Lions Gate Films will continue making direct-to-video animated feature films, with the third project already in development. In addition, a Fantastic Four animated television show was confirmed and the MTV Spider-Man animated series will return for a second season.

In other coverage, Comicon.com’s the Beat weblog reports that Marvel will begin selling comics in 7-11’s nationwide, expand comics sales from 50 to 300 Barnes & Noble bookstores, and distribute free Fantastic Four comics to over 6,000 schools as part of an educational drive.

Discuss the animated news in the Marvel Animation Forum, and the comics news in the Comic Book Culture Forum.
