Manhattan, Pittsburgh Museums to Host Kid-Themed Exhibits

by on May 14, 2008

The Children’s Museum of Manhattan will open “Adventures of Dora and Diego,” a new exhibit inspired by the two TV series, on May 20, Nickelodeon said today.

The exhibit will include two environments: a Diego-themed set focusing on animal habitats and wildlife, and a Dora-themed set focusing on problem-solving and Hispanic culture.

The opening will be preceded on May 18 by a special fundraiser that will feature appearances by costumed Dora and Diego characters.

Separately, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s ToonSeum will host “Just Kidding Around: Children in Cartoons and Comics,” an exhibit surveying the portrayal of kids in comic strips and other illustrated arts, from June 7 through August 3.
