BURBANK, CA (October 3, 2011) – Looney Tunes’ lovable French Skunk, Pepé Le Pew stars in his own entertaining cartoon compilation which is set for release on DVD by Warner Home Video (WHV) December 27, 2011. Titled Looney Tunes Super Stars: Pepé Le Pew Collection, this DVD will feature 17 shorts on one disc, including the Academy Award® -winning For Scent-imental Reasons. Looney Tunes Super Stars: Pepé Le Pew Collection is devoted to the suave, smooth-talking French skunk whose powerful scent and penchant for romance often result in some very funny situations. Created by animation legend Chuck Jones, Pepé Le Pew was introduced to audiences years ago and went on to star in several memorable Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts Pepé Le Pew is a very amorous skunk who is always on the lookout for love and romance. Much to his dismay, he is rejected by all his potential mates because of his overpowering skunk scent and his inability to take “no” for an answer when it comes to romance. In several cartoons, he’s known to have his eye on Penelope, an adorable black feline, whom he sometimes mistakes for a female skunk. In spite of fighting off all his advances, Penelope is relentlessly wooed and pursued by him.

Of the 17 shorts included on the DVD is the Academy Award® winning For Scent-imental Reasons, the second Looney Tunes cartoon to win an Oscar®. In this popular short, Pepé Le Pew tries to seduce a reluctant feline in an upscale French perfume shop. Another featured cartoon is Scent-imental Over You, in which Pepé Le Pew tries to romance a hairless dog whom he mistakes for a skunk because he’s donning a fur coat. Also included on this collection is Louvre Come Back to Me! in which Pepé Le Pew chases Penelope the cat and one of her feline pals into the Louvre, and wreaks havoc amongst the priceless works of art. These and several other hilarious shorts featuring Pepé Le Pew are included in the set.

Looney Tunes Super Stars: Pepé Le Pew Collection is the latest release in a series of DVDs that focus on popular Looney Tunes characters.
