The creator of the “BioShock: Infinite” video game, Ken Levine, has been hired by Warner Bros. to write a screenplay for a remake of the 1976 cult science fiction film “Logan’s Run” stars Michael York, Jenny Agutter and Farrah Fawcett [whose poster was surely on every teenage boy’s wall that year]. In the film, the trio live in a domed world society which gives humans all the comforts they need until they reach the age of 30 – when they are executed or “renewed”. Those who wish not to be executed, try to escape by leaving the dome and running away in the outside world only to be hunted down by police called Sandmen. York’s character is a Sandman who disagrees with the system and eventually tries to run away too.
The “Logan’s Run” remake is tentatively expected to have a 2015 release.
