Landau Leaving Sony Digital
Yair Landau, president of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s digital division, will leave the studio in April, AWN reports. He will continue to act as executive producer for the studio’s upcoming Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
Landau is leaving Sony to develop new games and animation ventures. He also says he is planning to make investments in media, entertainment and technology companies.
Update: Sony has named Bob Osher to replace Landau as president of the digital production division, and Hannah Minghella as president of production at Sony Pictures Animation, Variety says. Sony has also taken its Imageworks subsidiary, which had been for sale, off the market.
