by on May 26, 2005

Cartoon Network and Best Western International will today present UNICEF with $500,000 in donations for tsunami relief, the companies said today. The money is part of a matching program the companies set up as part of their “Kids Help Out” program of raising money from children for disaster relief for victims of last December’s tsunami.

Overall, the program raised $9 million from donors, with $100,000 coming from the Torrance Unified School District. The district will be recognized during the ceremony, which will be held at Edison Elementary School in Torrance, California.
