Jake Tarbox, group editor of CMX, DC Comics’ manga line, has resigned from the company following a censorship controversy.

Tarbox and CMX came under fire in March for heavily editing Tenjho Tenge, a new manga series, to remove explicit content. Fans mounted a boycott and called for the series to be released in its original form.

Tarbox leaves DC Comics less than a year after CMX was launched.
