Group Urges Ad Boycott of "JC"

by on June 1, 2010

A group of TV watchdogs is urging advertisers to boycott JC, an animated comedy in development at Comedy Central, should it ever reach the air, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Coalition Against Religious Bigotry (CARB) includes Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center, Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, Bill Donohue of the Catholic League, and others.

In a statement, Bozell condemned as “bigotry” the network’s “habit of attacking Christianity” while also having “a formal policy to censor anything considered offensive to followers of Islam.”

The Reporter says that Comedy Central had no comment.
