A lone figure walked though the long dark halls of a forgotten world. A time of ancients, a time of legends, a time of heros and great battles. Many had allowed the passage of time to wash away the memories of that age old struggle, the rise of man among the creatures of the earth. This woman had not. She was a part of it. She came to a wall and placed her hand in the propper area. The hidden door slide back to reveal a hidden chamber, buried beneath a large mountian. An older man looked up and smiled.
"Good to see you my daughter"
"Good evening father"
"What brings you here?''
"When do you leave?"
"Tomorrow night my dear. Do not worry"
"I am afraid that with you gone something could happen... He could awaken father" The woman said quietly. A look of concern passed over his face.
"He can not awaken... or it will be the end of us... and mankind"

Hmmm, intriguing. I'm also reminded of Ras and Taliah. Although the mention of a Queen made me think of Wonder Woman. I really want to know who's asleep. Write away right away! >giggle<
And thank you very much for your compliments! I'm such a sucker for happy endings and babies, glad you liked it too. And yes, I do believe we will see more of the Midwinters. I have an eye on making it a Halloween story, but it depends on how huge the homework load is.

Actually it's not either of them... well, maybe their involved... it's a clue. Something to do with someone... great hint huh? I can't say too much or it will it away... aw well, it's an idea i've been throwing around for another story... Hint - read the last line and think of other stories on the board containing a "Queen"...
