    Save Our Histeria!

    Like This Thread!
As of August 30th there was no more Histeria on Kids WB.

But that does not mean it can be shown elsewhere.

I am starting a petiton to get Histeria! aired on C.Network or Nickeldeon. PLEASE go to Encyclopedia Histeria and use the links there to give an E-mail and tell the networks to pick up H!, but be polite.

Also, write, write, write a letter! Having a hard copy sent to them impresses the network executives, so send letters to the networks.
For Nick the mailing address is:
1515 Broadway New York, NY 10036 (east coast)
West Coast Office 4040 Vineland Suite
105 Studio City, CA 91605 (west coast)

Please help this wonderful show. It deserves to be aired, and as the last remmnant of WB's silver age, it should be on as a testament to this second age of classic cartoondom. I thank you for your support.

    Please....

For all the Viewers who are the fans of A!, P&tB, and other silver age shows, give them a number of request at Nickelodeon E-mail or Cartoon Network Feedback. Please help the show out for goodness sake.

Please for the people who want the show back on the air, please reply!

Sven, I'll try to refrain from sounding truly PO'd for now: if ya don't like the show, then get OUT. This is a thread for people who LIKE this clever, funny show. Frankly, it was one of KWB's best shows, and we're trying to make sure that people will still be able to see it.

    To be honest--

--I'd rather they just release the show on VHS and be done with it. Realistically speaking, it probably would (a) not fit in with Nick or CN's lineup (b) be mistreated, butchered and badly scheduled (c) carries the stigmata of being an "educational kiddie" show and most folks would probably lump it in with Big Bird and Teletubbies and (d) it only had a 52-episode stick, which would only be about 10 1/2 weeks in syndication. At least on videotape it'd prove a great tool for babysitters and history classes....

You have a point but I would like it on DVD with a few (Maybe 3 or 4) new eps exclusive to the DVD.

    Or Maybe.....

They will put Histeria! on VHS and DVD, all 52 episodes, and put new episodes on warnerbros.com. That will work. That brings me to another question, what happen to "WB Girl" Merch. was see on WB store catalog before the catalog was discontinued?

I would like to see Histeria! either on TV or on video, mainly because I didn't get to see much of it the first time, just one or two episodes. I liked what I saw, but then it was taken off the air before I had a chance to see more.

    Re: Save Our Histeria!

Even though it's not my FAVORITE show, I really enjoyed it. I'd like to see a VHS collection, but I don't think a DVD collection is necessary (no offense). I thought it was very funny, and was the ONLY cartoon ever I saw someone PUKING ON-SCREEN. LOL

It's nice to see many people like this show after all. I thank any of you who have e-mailed/written to CN or Nick to get this show back on the air, it means a lot to me and other H! lovers. Thank you.

Hm, VHS collection at the very least! As for puking, well, H! actually did a lot of controversial stuff...

I do remember the episode with Mr. Smarty Pants (is that right?) explaining the invention of the toilet - then getting into a little discussion with the network censor about the name "Crapper..." (snicker)

Yeah....and they not only showed Hitler, but Hitler as the devil. They also showed BATTLESHIP POTKEMIN (spell?) in a banned eppy, yet it was not 'till the 1990s was this movie allowed to be shown in the U.S.A...

....the puking sketch was called "The Vomitorium", or more afficetionatly "THAT sketch".

Why not come over to the Encyclopedia Histeria site if you like Histeria, everyone? It's in the links section at Toon Zone...

Actually, I remember watching that on television around 1972. And my Dad says he first saw it on TV some time in the 60s.

I can't think of any reason why anybody but an extreme anti-communist (are they still around?) would want to ban it- it's got some classic film sequences, but is too blatantly propagandistic to be politically persuasive.

Really? Aw...dang, I musta been wrong....but I'm still pretty sure it was made obscure at least.
And with the Cold War, sadly enough, we had plenty of anti-communists to go around...

Yeah, the film was purposly made propigandic to help out the Boleshviks...and the peasants at the time would very likely believed it.
