Tiny Toon Adventures Night Ghoulery special question for 2013

    Like This Thread!

I know there is no release date in time for Halloween 2013 for Warner Bros. to get the Tiny Toon Night Ghoulery special released on DVD, but when Halloween 2013 comes, will CW Vortexx air it like it did last year or will the Hub air it this 2013 Halloween year?

I'm gonna guess The Hub since they are airing Tiny Toons now.

I hope it is not another big mistake if Warner doesn't release Wakko's Wish on DVD in time for Christmas!

Well, according to my Cable Box guide, The Hub will air the special at 1PM EST on 10/20!

I've heard that the Hub ran the edited version of "Night Ghoulery". Someone should try to tell WHV about this. Don't want them to make another mistake!

How is that a mistake? Wasn't the edited version MEANT to air in an hour-long time slot in the first place? I mean, that IS how it aired on FOX, after all.

It's not a time slot thing. The opening and closing was edited to make it seem like it was not a Halloween special. Fox's only airing of it was late May 1995.

So what I'm hearing was that for once, Vortexx actually aired something with less edits than a more lenient cable network. That's just embarrassing.

Now that the Hub has aired the TTA Night Ghoulery special, hope it has the TTA Spring Break special for Spring 2014!

I wouldn't be surprised if they did, but I personally am in no hurry to see that special. The TTA Spring Break Special is one of the few Tiny Toons projects that I genuinely disliked; it was such an obvious attempt by WB to rehash How I Spent My Vacation without realizing what it was that made HISMV so great. The Buster & Babs plot, with the duo being chased all over the country by Elmyra who believes Buster to be the Easter Bunny was lame; the only part of that I remotely enjoyed being the bit where they reach Sea World which leads to a spoof of Michael Jackson's Free Willy video with Babs doing an over-the-top MJ impersonation, and the Plucky/Hamton plot not only came off as a naked attempt to recreate the Plucky plot of HISMV, but it also came off as rather mean-spirited. In HISMV, Plucky was receiving karmic punishment for worming his way onto Hamton's family vacation for his own selfish desire, but in Spring Break he just seemed to be getting dumped on throughout for no reason. This was during the later years when the writers just decided "abusing Plucky is funny so we'll pound, humiliate and dump on him whenever we can from now on", regardless of whether he deserved such treatment or not.

Plus, there was way too much singing.

And did the opening credits to the Hub version of the Tiny Toon Night Ghoulery episode have a different opening credit version unlike the one we saw on CW Vortexx last year?

I don't know how it aired on CW, but the opening aired on the Hub had the usual theme paired with (mostly) different clips.

Vortexx showed the special opening (the one with the parody of The Nightmare Before Christmas) that was originally shown on video.

I think the Hub has aired the original 1995 FOX Network TTA Night Ghoulery version with the weird opening credits mixing the main TTA opening and the Night Ghoulery opening.
