One: I thought there were only 99 episodes!
Two: What the heck am I doing up at 1 am?!
This is my first post here. I really wanted to say what I think about the series Animaniacs and see what you people think.
Well, I remember watching Animaniacs when I was in first grade. Recently, I rediscovered the show on CN and realized the quality of the music and comedy. Wow.
I realized then that the series had ended a long time ago. So I went over to the Startoons website and E-mailed Jon McClenahan. I asked why the show was canceled and if it would make a comeback sometime. He responded with this
"The reason it ended (that was given to me) was that WB had produced 200 episodes and that there was no financial advantage in producing more, in that 200 episodes made a very marketable package for syndication. Sad to say, but financial reasons are what lie behind most big corporate decisions. "
"To my knowledge, there are no plans to make any more Animaniacs cartoons. I can't imagine that they wouldn't come back some time, but not in the foreseeable future. "
Canceling a show because it hits 200 episodes?
What do you think of the show? Ending the show because of 200 episodes?

And besides, most people look at this type of topic unrealistically. They are all under the apparent misconception tha--oh, wait. Is my post over? Ah, okay.

Well it is arround 100 eps not including remixing of shorts. And WB could make money producing more eps hell there were compaines tring to pay WB to do so to get their products placed in it hell rich fans have offered to pay for the production of the eps them selfs. But WB remains stubborn and sticks by its desison to not make any more A! eps.Originally posted by LD1984

Hi, there! Always good to see another A! fan around here. =)
As the others have pointed out, there were only 99 episodes...the reason I'd heard for the cancellation was that WB felt too much of the money was going to Spielberg / Amblin, and they felt their profit margin wasn't big enough to justify making another season. Whatever the exact reason, money was doubtlessly involved. But that's the TV industry for ya.
It was definitely a tremendously well-done series, though. Guess it can't hurt to try to start up some sort of actual discussion... What are your favorite episodes / shorts that you've seen? Who are your favorite characters? What references did you particularly appreciate?

Animan-ee... Totally insane-y...
You first saw "Animaniacs" back in first grade? Gee, here I was thinking of how I first saw it (in its first season in 1993-94) back in freshman year of college (with wondering if, when I first heard of the show after seeing its picture in the paper, if it'd be "any good"/"be as good as Tiny Toons"/actually last on the air given how weird that Yakko/Wakko characters look and are named :-) I presume from your user name you're only 16 or 17 years old?

Wow. Friendly people here.
Yeah, I'm 16 years old. I really like Nighty Night Toon (the third short in the first episode). A parody of Goodnight Moon (to my knowledge) had never been done before that. It was hillarious. Lucky for me, I saw it last week on Cartoon Network.
After watching Wakko's Wish last night, I think I may be inspired to do some 3d work of Yakko, Wakko and Dot. I'm pretty smart for my age.
Thats my head (a little stretched out). I think If I can model my head, I can definately model the Warner Bros. (and the Warner Sister). Would you like to see them done?
Sure! Wow, that's so cool!

> Wow. Friendly people here. <
Aye; that's this website's primary asset.
The secondary one being the collective knowledge of the members- you can get almost any question pertaining to WB, animation, profound thought, or useless fact, answered by *somebody* here (not always with guaranteed accuracy, but you'll get an answer.)
Welcome aboard!
Or coherency. But, darnit, you'll get an answer, but good!not always with guaranteed accuracy
I'm not much older than you...I'm 17-an'-a-half, and the show premiered when I was in 4th grade. I'm not particularly more intelligent or talented than most people but my age...but I'm different, anyhow, which is enough to make me happy. ;)
But thankfully, age, upbringing, religion, race, political leanings, etc., aren't all that important here. Most everyone's quite open-minded. It's a very pleasant atmosphere, once you get into the swing of things.
And feel free to share whatever talents you've got. People here are very appreciative of other posters' creative expression. That headshot is awesome!

Egad, Hello, and Welcome!![]()
Great to see another A! fan. I'm also quite a bit of a P&TB fan, as you may have guessed...or, wait...maybe you haven't guessed...or maybe someone already told you...Oh, now I remember, It was the second thing I just said, NARF!
Zounds! By all means, go for it! I've been doing some 3D work about a particular place that started out in Animaniacs myself. What LD1984 said...
After watching Wakko's Wish last night, I think I may be inspired to do some 3d work of Yakko, Wakko and Dot.

Why Brain? What do we want to do tomorrow night? Throw a slumber party?
Welcome LD1984.

Hi I'm kero.
well, just in case people decide to come around.
I'm still working on the mouth. Not too bad for an hour work.
Oh yeah. Let me briefly describe the process.
First you make the mesh. The Yakko face is the mesh. The mesh doesn't have any really specific details until you texture (or skin) it. He won't have eyes or little details until I get to that point. Then it's done. I'm thinking of exporting him into Quake III Arena just for fun.

But let's don't get into a modesty contest. Howabout if we just say we're both great, and leave it at that? ;)

I think they should make an animaniacs next Generation cartoon!
Like with Yakko Wakko and Dot and then three younger warners like maybe to girls and a boy this time! the story behind it: The creators made three new characters and they joined the original three and now they're the warner 6!!!
Just a thought peeps never know.... it could happen!![]()
It's a very interesting thought. Also a very scary one. It would make a good fanfic, though.
Uh-oh. Uh, forget I said that.
